Effective Resumes and Cover Letters will get you the Interview.  The Interview will get you the Job!  Don't squander all the hard work.  Know how to present yourself at the Interview.

Be prepared and you will do fine.  Success is what you have when preparation meets opportunity.  Preparation will boost your confidence and give you the opportunity to focus on the things you need to or want to focus on.  Formulate answers for sample questions.  Practice! Practice! Practice!
Get someone to role-play. All efforts will be greatly rewarded.

  •  Dress for (success) the position you are applying
  •  Market yourself and your skills.  Demonstrate the best slice of you.
  •  The interview should be a two-way process
  •  You must want to work for the organization and they should want to hire you.  This is your opportunity to present the best of you.
  •  Make sure you understand the purpose of the questions, before you answer.  The information they are seeking should be in your answer.
  •  Remember "you get what you negotiate; not what you deserve"
  •  Prepare some questions for the interviewer
  •  Ask about the next step
  •  Be courteous and gracious.  Thank the interviewer.
  •  You never get a second chance to make a good first impression!

Job Interview Questions:

You might not be asked these questions specifically,  but crafting answers to them should better prepare you for the interview.  Once you have formulated your answers, you can use them in your preparation for subsequent interviews.  It is a worthwhile exercise and investment.  Remember: Before you give an answer, first attempt to discern the purpose behind the question.  Answer specifically.  No rambling.
