Nehemiah 4:14
After I looked things over, I stood up and said to the nobles, the officials and the rest of the people, "Don't be afraid of them. Remember the Lord, who is great and awesome, and fight for your brothers, your sons and your daughters, your wives and your homes.”
Notes:
What does this have to do with Prayer and Spiritual Warfare? Much in every way!  In the Old Testament, the arch Enemy is not seen as much as he is in the NT.  However, he was not silent in the OT.  His presence was seen more in the physical and political realm, not spiritual (spiritual was indirectly in the idolatry, etc.). For us today, we have this in the reverse. We do not see the enemy at work in the physical and the political spheres.  We think of it more in spiritual terms.  We need to consider both.
Read Nehemiah 6:1-14 and see the opposition Nehemiah faced and compare that with the works of Satan elsewhere.  Surprised? Let us not separate things that are intricately and intimately connected. Fight for your loved ones on your knees! Remember, “We fight from the posture victory, not for victory!” We are on the winning side!
